About Theatre Knoxville Downtown

Theatre Knoxville Downtown (TKD), incorporated in 1976, has been entertaining Knoxville for 43 seasons.

In April 2019, TKD moved to its new home at 800 South Central Avenue where they will produce 8 shows each season. We encourage you to attend a TKD show and witness the best in live community theatre at their new location.

TKD is a vibrant part of Knoxville’s downtown arts community, attracting both residents and visitors to their shows.  If you haven’t been to a production at TKD, you are missing Knoxville’s longest continuously running, all-volunteer, non-profit theatre.

Let TKD’s talented local actors share their love of live theater with you and your friends.  Support local and help them open their 44th season beginning August 2, 2019 with sell-out performances!

It's a great play, and a difficult one. Doing it well is a great accomplishment.

Here's a recommendation for "Death of a Salesman" from a patron at Thursday's performance: My wife and I attended last night's (1/16) performance and it was spectacular! The cast did such a marvelous job of making the characters real and believable in such a gripping story. The most powerful performance we have seen at TKD since moving back to Knoxville in 2013.

Be there tomorrow!
