Glowing Body Yoga & Healing Arts

Siobhan is a long time yoga teacher, founder of the Meaning Maker Movement, and the creator of The Process, a conceptual framework that teaches us how to access an internally sourced experience of happiness.

www.glowingbody.net/product/restorative-yoga-workshop/Animals are masters when it comes to rest. They naturally spend ample time at rest with the result being a fully nourished nervous system. Unlike most adults whose nervous systems are so taxed that we spend a good part of our day bouncing back and forth between feeling the need to attack/blame others or to justify/defend ourselves.

All of us have at least one person in our lives that seems to be a chronic trigger for us. They might be someone we love dearly but still, we find ourselves feeling the need to attack or defend ourselves on a fairly regular basis.

This is what happens when our nervous systems are in need of support. Rather than responding to the world, we react as if what's being said or done is a threat to our survival. Which in most cases is not what's happening at all. We've just 'perceived' that's what's happening because our nervous system is unable to differentiate between real and imagined threats.

The regular practice of DEEP REST helps us to:

* be more responsive rather than reactive
* feel safe without needing to be understood
* experience a sense of inner calm and peace that's not dependent on others or how they're behaving

The result is a nourished nervous system which means we:

* sleep better
* our digestion is improved
* our blood pressure is regulated
* can take in life fully while remaining open and receptive

In a world in which our attention is constantly in demand and our worth is often measured by our productivity, or lack thereof, the practice of DEEP REST is a form of radical self-acceptance.

Taking the time to allow your body and mind to rest deeply on a regular basis has a positive effect on everyone you meet as your ability to respond changes the way you see yourself, others and the world we share.

Every month we come together at Glowing Body Yoga & Healing Arts to practice DEEP REST with a focus on supporting our capacity to understand and integrate how the health of our nervous system determines how we respond to the world around us.

Through practice, we no longer experience the outer world, or the people in it, as problems we need to solve. Instead, we practice working with disturbances in our mental and emotional states as opportunities for integration.

Golden Gate Bridge Vista Point

The views are truly stunning and the parking was set up very nicely and organized.

Wish the weather was better. But it’s an interesting experience.
Nice and good place to take pictures if you want the golden gate view but make sure you see the weather forecast before you go because most of the times it is surrounded with clouds.
We visited the Battery Spencer vista point and this was definitely the best view of the bridge! Keep in mind it's super windy and a little chilly so be prepared for that. It was foggy when we went but still an amazing view!
I love this place because it has an awesome view and always come here to get a clear head and a nice piece of my love how the grander scale of things can be bigger than me and that's okay I love seeing the landmark West coast Mecca seems like everyone around the world comes here in order to see this beautiful bridge our beautiful landmarks for everyone to see and I love to come out here sometimes and just appreciate being born and raised in California enable to see the Golden gate bridge at least once or twice in my life with the one that I love my wife
