About Old City Wine Bar Brunch

With a focus on seasonality and sustainability, an ever-changing menu is created with the freshest ingredients for brunch at the Old City Wine Bar.

The Old City Wine Bar is known for their extensive wine cellar featuring an ever-changing list of over 48 wines by the glass and 150 bottles for wine enthusiasts to experience.  In addition to the wine, frequent brunch customers love the Old City Wine Bar’s freshly-prepared craft cocktails feature liquor from the nearby distillery PostModern.

Brunch is prepared by the Old City Wine Bar’s sister restaurant’s Executive Chef, Preston Williams. Before moving to Knoxville, Preston lived and worked in New York city’s culinary scene for ten years.  Acting in roles like fishmonger and butcher, he treated each task in the kitchen as a learning experience. His arduous efforts paid off when he rose to Sous Chef and then Chef de Cuisine at Joe Bastianich’s Manzo and Birreria, both facets of the renowned food haven Eataly.

“Every dish we prepare is made with love. My team and I are committed to sourcing local ingredients and actively contributing to the continued growth of Knoxville’s food scene,” said Preston.

Old City Wine Bar

Amazing food! But for the size of the portions, even with wine pairings, there was nothing I ate that couldn't have been made with cheaper ingredients with the same taste, and I am particularly obsessive about getting the whole experience of food and wine. Amazing though they are, paying $150 per person is absolutely ridiculous. I save my visits to once every few months, though I'd go many times more if they balanced their overhead against the final cost better.
Great variety of drinks. Helpful staff.
Staff knowledgeable of wines. Bar food needs improvement
The Wine Bar was a very amiable and comfortable environment, with very pleasant and accommodating staff.

They had many food options to include amazing happy hour and brunch specials.

I personally would recommend a look at their wine flights that are paired very appropriately.
An amazing wine bar with eclectic offerings and well curated wine flights.
