Got a few things going on today. First our food special for Thursday. Po Boys man, we love em so tonight's special in our Shrimp Po boy. We make ours with 1/2 lb of some killer fried shrimp, lettuce, tomato, pickle and some remoulade packed into a toasty hoagie roll. These are all about the fried shrimp. We soak our shrimp in a little buttermilk and Louisiana hot sauce before hand breading em and frying em up. So freaking good.

We are also tapping our next version of Juicy J IPA. Each batch of this IPA we use a different combination of hops. The hop varieties in this batch are Amarillo, Cascade, Summit and Sabro. We like this version!!!

KnoxHops will be by this afternoon around 5pm to pick the last of their fresh Cascade hops so if ya wanna help pick some hops, come on by. If ya haven't done this yet it's pretty cool. Pick a hop, open it, smell it, throw it in your beer.

Literally one of the best shrimp PO Boys I have ever eaten.... and I was born and raised in Baton Rouge

Every Wednesday we do these smoked bologna sandwiches. What makes em so good? (Besides smoked bologna, lol). Using a slaw like they use in Memphis at places like Leonard's Pit BBQ and Payne's Bar-B-Que to top them off. We're here 4pm to 9pm tonight and you can order & pay online if ya prefer. Our buddy who did some culinary training out in Arizona said we needed to try em with pork. He said the dipping broth is to die for. Sounds good to us. Saturday's special in our Shrimp Po boy. We make ours with 1/2 lb of some killer fried shrimp, lettuce, tomato, pickle and some remoulade packed into a toasty hoagie roll. These are all about the fried shrimp. We soak our shrimp in a little buttermilk and Louisiana hot sauce before hand breading em and frying em up. So freaking good. Friday means its time for our shrimp boil!! We kick that off at 4 pm this afternoon and keep it going till we are outta shrimp.
We just tapped a excellent coffee porter yesterday and if ya wanna try our annual wet hopped beer made with fresh picked hops for the KnoxHops farm, now is a good time as we are about to hook up the last keg. I forget... how much is shrimp boil?

So we decided to throw a couple of briskets in the smoker for tonight's special to go with a brand new beer we are tapping.

Our food special is a twist on something Tracy & Mike used to make at a mom & pop diner they worked at years and years ago. How about an Open Faced Smoked Brisket Sandwich? Tender smokey brisket on some soft white bread with caramelized onions and gravy and mashed potatoes on the side.

Our beer is a dark one. We don't do a lot of dark beers in the summer but we just couldn't wait for it to cool off. Our newest beer is a Coffee Porter, malty & complex with a smooth coffee finish.
