The meatball sub was excellent. It had a little spice to it. Two large meatballs per 1/2 sub. ... See MoreSee Less

I don't understand why I can't get through on the phone. I called for two hours to order three pizzas and no one ever answered. This makes no sense from a business. Help! ... See MoreSee Less

Went for lunch today with a co-worker and waited 25 minutes for the server to take our order. Farthest he got was bringing the drinks. Several parties came in after us and he took both their drink and food orders. They seemed busy, but that’s not uncommon for any restaurant at lunchtime on Gay St. Gave up and went to the register and paid for the 2 drinks and left. None of the staff seemed very concerned or in a hurry about anything. Been to Dazzo’s a few times in the last 5 years and don’t remember them being fast by any means, but today was absurd. Too many good choices in Knoxville so I’ll choose those going forward. I won’t be going back to Dazzo’s. ... See MoreSee Less

Dazzo's Pizzeria

Nearly 200 area teens landed on another planet last night in a space where they could be their true selves and dance the night away.

We would like to thank Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church for donating their space for the event. Without them the night would not have been possible.

Also, we would like to thank our contributing sponsors: Positively Living, East Tennessee Children's Hospital, GLSEN Tennessee, Foothills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and PFLAG Oak Ridge. With their help we were able to blast off.

Thanks also go out to these local businesses: Dillards, The Tomato Head, Barley's Knoxville, Magpies Bakery, Dazzo's Pizzeria, and Holly's Gourmets Market.

To all the organizations who came out to support and provide for the event, thank you. We appreciate everything you do for our community: Metropolitan Community Church of Knoxville, GLSEN Tennessee, East Tennessee Children's Hospital, Tennessee Equality Project, Pellissippi Pride, Human Rights Campaign, Trans Empowerment Project-National, Positively Living, Knox Pride, Contact Care Line.

The generous donations of countless supporters was greatly appreciated. Together you helped make a wonderful, loving and inclusive event come together.

And last, but not least, a big thank you the countless volunteers who spent hours and hours of effort and time. The decorating, chaperones, music, photos, food, cleaning and all the other tiny things could not have happened without you.

It was inspiring to see the joy, love and excitement come together to produce a night to remember. It truly was an event out of this world!

Dazzos Pizzeria

Dazzos is always great. Went in for a quick to go order. Just got the garlic knots. I usually get the white pizza from there. It is one of the best around. I hadn't had the garlic knots before. I only got an order of three and it was not enough. I could have eaten six more. They were so good and DRENCHED in butter. I ate them so quick, I never got a pic. I'll do better next time. And the service was fantastic. We had to wait for our orders and it wasn't super busy so the cashier let us stand at the front and talk her ear off for a while before we finally got out of her way and let her get back to work. I basically just live Dazzos. If you are downtown, it's a little walk from market square and the main hub of downtown's goings on, but it's literally only a block away and totally worth the stroll around the corner.
The pizza taste awesome. The staff was really friendly and my wife and kids loved the pizza. I definitely recommend this place if your in downtown Knoxville.
I have eaten here quite a few times over the last month and I must say, the pizza is a definite must try. While I would prefer a bit more cheese, I do feel you absolutely get your money's worth and the flavor of the crust and sauce are excellent as well. Will most assuredly be coming here again if I find myself in the downtown area once again.
The food is always great (I particularly recommend the Caesar salad as an appetizer) and the service is friendly, but even with only a few tables in the restaurant it felt like our server just didn't have time for us. As a waiter myself, I completely understand being in a rush. However, there were not many other customers and it felt we were more of an inconvenience than guests. That being said, on the occasions where we did get to speak to our server, she was more than polite and accommodating. And again, Dazzo's has the best pizza downtown, bar none.
Pizza was great, and Molly was better ,great smile , service. Wonderful place will be back.
